Insurance and coverage

What we accept, what it costs you, and how we work out coverage before you order.

What we accept

  • Medicare Part B
  • Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid)
  • CareCredit
  • Card and self-pay

Call us with your coverage details and we will check it while you are on the phone. We do not guess — if we are not sure, we find out and call you back.

What we cannot bill

We are not contracted with Medicare Advantage plans, commercial insurance or employer health plans. If your card says Medicare Advantage, or your plan comes from an employer or an insurance company, we cannot bill it for you.

You are welcome to buy from us directly. We will give you an itemized receipt you can submit to your plan yourself, though we cannot promise your plan will reimburse you.

If you are outside Colorado

We are enrolled with Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid) only. We are not enrolled with any other state’s Medicaid programme and cannot bill one.

Medicare Part B covers you wherever you live, but a supplier also has to be licensed in your state to furnish the equipment. We hold a Colorado DME supplier licence and no other state’s, so insurance-billed equipment is for Colorado residents.

Everyday and over-the-counter supplies ship anywhere in the country on a self-pay basis, paid by card or CareCredit. If you are outside Colorado and need something billed to insurance, call us — we will tell you plainly whether we can help and point you elsewhere if we cannot.

What you will owe

With Medicare, you are generally responsible for your Part B deductible and a share of the cost of covered items. Secondary coverage may pick up part of that. We give you the expected number before we order, not after the equipment arrives.

If an item is not covered, we will tell you the price. You can pay by card, or spread it with CareCredit.

Rented, not bought

Medicare pays for some equipment as a monthly rental rather than buying it outright. Oxygen concentrators, CPAP machines and hospital beds usually work this way.

That means a monthly claim for a set period rather than a single charge, and the equipment is serviced and replaced by us while it is rented. We explain which category your item falls into before anything is delivered.

For inexpensive or routinely purchased equipment, you may have the choice of renting or buying. We will tell you when that choice applies.

What your doctor needs to provide

Every item we bill to insurance needs a written order from the doctor treating you, and some items also need a face-to-face visit with that doctor documented beforehand. We contact the office, request what is needed and follow up until it arrives. You do not have to chase it.
